 Well, I finally got some decent images of Harlequin ducks. This male was really bobbing up and down in the water making framing and focus a challenge. The whites aren't over just featureless. Very tough bird to meter for sure. EOS 1Ds, 500mm f/4 IS, 1.4XTC, ISO 200, f/11, 1/700 sec, ff with BB at -1.7Ev. In PS cropped, curves and USM. This was from just beyond the concrete portion of the jetty. Fortunately, the rolling waves made this image look as if I were much lower than I was. It is tough to get down to eye level from the jetty without a wet-suit
