I know I'm posting this a couple hours early but I'm heading to Barnegat in an hour or so and I wanted to post this before I left. This was taken yesterday at Lake Tackapausha this was the only sharp image I got of about 15 of Wigeons in flight.

Canon 1D 500mm f4, Tripod ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter 1/2000 @ f5.6 Iso 320, auto focus.

Lovely image. This came out really nice. Too bad about the other ones.

I assume you're going to be one of the people going down to Barnegat for tomorrow and you're simply getting there early. If so, I'll see you tomorrow. I still want to know where you got your gloves from.

Jimmy, it does not matter how many shots you throw away when you can get one this good. Love the trailing water drops.

Gorgeous. In addition to the factors already mentioned, I like the way the bird fits into the OOF background elements.

Excellent shot! The wing position and tail feathers are a bonus IMO.
