This Spring, I finally got some new Oystercatchers I liked. The old ones, also at sunset, made within a few yards of the same spot in 1995 with the old FD 800mm f5.6L, had sold well but were showing their age. Little Estero Lagoon, Ft. Myers Beach, FL, 4-24-2004, EOS-3, 600 IS, 2x II, 1/250 - 1/320, f8 (ambient 1/200), Provia F at 200 and pushed one stop, Wimberley head on Gitzo 410, full frame.

Cliff:

Very unusual picture of the Oystercatcher, for one thing I love the pose, but the sweet colors with that heavy orange cast place it well on top of artistry. Congratulations.

Sweet shot. And no tags on its legs...(all the ones I saw there were tagged)
