This female arrived with the male I posted a couple of days ago. Captured late day at Roel Ramirez Roma ranch from a blind.
Canon 10D, Canon 400/2.8 + 1.4 TC on Gitzo and Wimberly;ISO at 200;
1/320 @ f 8; Eval metering - 2/3, aperture priority. Flash off. Comments welcome.

The light is gorgeous making all the feathering pattern, color, detail and color of the bird strong; this is an impact image. I especially like the bird walking on the log. CONGRATS :D :D :D :D :D

This is gorgeous! How many nanoseconds did she actually perch on the log?

I agree with Sandy on placing the bird more to the left in the frame. If you did, this would be as close to perfect as it gets in my opinion!
