Image shot from a boat last June in Michigan. Common Loon chick is about 5 days old and already comfortable on the water.
Canon 1D, 600 IS, ISO200, 1/400, f/8, 550EX/BB -2, RAW. About 20% crop all around.
Comments welcome.
Rich.

A real cutie :D

I like the touch of reflected sky in the image and the soft blue water seems to add to the fluffiness of the Loon. A gentle moment.

A little more crop off the top and right would balance the over all image but who has time for that when in a boat with a 600 and fast chick swimming by :)

Cute for sure. Nice composition. Luv that bead of water on lower mandible. Nice image, Rich.
