Immature Downy Woodpecker, Champlin MN.
Image
We have a Downy family that visits our feeders lately. The young are rather unsure of themselves, but are curious and allow close approach.

Great pose with the look-back, and the diagonal makes for a strong composition here.

Good and "typical" downy image, Steve. As mentioned, the diagonal and the background set this apart. Fun watching the youngsters come in!

Nice head turn you captured and detail. I have just (1) little guy that visits his suet cage :) But only when I don't have a camera.

A wonderful image. Sharp with complete feather detail and a great background. Exposure on the money.
