I was driving the back roads of the Katy Prairie when I noticed this crawfish lying on top of a fence post. It looked like a tempting morsel. As the hawk landed on the post, the crawfish was quick in capturing the bird by locking a pincer onto its right leg. Little did the immature Red-shoulder know, that this was, indeed, a trap!

So! That's how crawfish turn into lobsters?!

An interesting pose dislayed by the hawk. Perhaps it was the pain that made him did what he did?!
An excellent shot, Wayne!

Very Audubon-like pose, Wayne. Good shot even with the post and wire. Good story too.
