Taken in the afternoon at the Miami zoo some months ago, He was floating in the pond before the exit. I shot him just as he emerged from the shadows. THe pink orange water color is reflected light off the rocks.

20D, 600IS, 1.4x, ISO200, no flash but should have used it, f9, 1/250, ev-1, crop to a pano format.

Comments and reposts welcome.

Jim was this at Metrozoo or at Crandon Gardens? Looks like Crandon's own Panchito...

Jim, a very nice shot. I would be tempted to crop the right a bit to reduce the amount of dark water.

Jim, pleasing lighting. I would like just a bit more room at bottom below duck.

Pete, This is from the Metro zoo, not Crandon. Maybe it's Panchito's twin.

Alan, Your crop would certainly work.

Jeff, I too wish I had more image below.

This is NOT Pancho, it is Juancho at the Zoo, his bill is not as colorful as Pancho, that's why Jim made him hide it!!!
Lovely shot of the everpolular species!!!
