Brown Pelican - La Jolla, California
EOS 1Ds, 600mm

The Pelicans are looking good at La Jolla but unfortunately the weather is horrid so this is one from a couple of years ago. The photo is not tilted, he held this posture for quite some time, never doing the neck stretch that I was hoping for.

Wow. Now I can compare to what I shot at La Jolla. Wow. This is so sweet.

No, drove home this morning - didn't make any sense to stay there with the deluge of rain.

Yeah, I'm here until Saturday, so hoping the weather will improve.

Tilted or not, I'm getting dizzy. Nice colors, E.J. Great BG and feather detail.

Neat shot. I find his pose complementing the terrain, thus forming a nice diagonal. Beautiful colors and nice detail of a handsome pelican.
