Great stretched-out position. I love the iridescence in the wing feathers. Maybe a touch tight all around but not really a nit. Very nice. :D

Jim, this is outstanding. The tilt showing the back of the wings is great. It would be easy to add canvas if you felt it needed it.

Thanks for the suggestion Alan. I purposely made it tight for display on the web so the details would be more apparent. If I made a large print, I would do as you suggested and add some canvas. I had some room on all sides except the front in the original. He was moving fast when this was taken and I almost clipped his bill.

Sweet shot, Jim. Before your posting this image, I was not aware of iridescence in the BNS.

Jim,

Very nice flight shot. I like the eye level perspective and the view of the top of the wings.

Nice composition and capture, indeed. Not the fastest combination to shoot this bird with; you definitely showed that it can work.

Sweet shot--and another example of the photographer counting more than the lens. Just think of all the bad things you hear about the 1-4! Not Canon's sharpest (neither are any of my lenses), but sharp enough!

Never thought my 10D+100-400 could o this, the really fly fast (when in such close range). Nice capture.

May i have more tech info for this shot, like IS mode setting, AF point selection, and AF mode ?
