Taken at a local city pond which is visited by Scaup, Ring-necked, and Redhead ducks. Should the crop be tighter on this? Does the watermark detract from web viewing? All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

Fine image, Wayne. To answer your two questions: (1)I'd crop a bit more from the right of the frame to a point a bit outside the inner ring of water. Balance that with a slight bottom crop just above the lowest portion of the reflection. (2) The watermark is marginally distracting.

Sandy's crop suggestion was what I was thinking before I read his comment. I'm not a big fan of the watermark but that's more a personal choice, IMHO.

Wayne, great looking image. I'd crop it a bit tighter, but most people think I crop too tight. :D

Beautiful lighting and detail.

This is excellent and I also vote for a right hand side crop.

I would use a smaller watermark it does seem a bit distracting to me. Good overall image.

Beautiful image in beautiful light! :) I agree with Sandy's crop suggestion and I think the watermark is distracting. My only other nit is that the tip of the bill sort of gets lost against the dark part of the body.

Wayne the first thing I saw was the watermark, Sandy summed up the crop.

Okay, no watermark and a different crop. I am not too paranoid about the theft of a 72 ppi image anyway. How does this work? I think it's a little better.

Very cool shot!
I think the cropped version is nicer.

Same here. Because it conflicts with the ripples, it seems especially apparent. Nice shot, though. I don't mind the centered position of the bird framed by the ripples, but cropping the right works too.

An excellent Redhead...especially with the repost. When I first opened it I noticed the watermark....but it took me a second to realize that's what it was. I thought you had very "odd" water. Next time I'll look....with my reading glasses on!!!
