I was surprised to see this guy on a jetty instead of the beach, but did not have enough time to ask questions or adjust the settings. Hope you like it.

Terrific shot. I like the setting a lot. I never saw them land on the jetty. Wonderful that you were there to see and document this with such a lovely image.
I am not certain if it is my monitor or what but it appears to have a slight green cast.
Here I removed some green in curves and added some USM. I hope that you don't mind. This is a wonderful shot Marius.

Love this shot, Marius. It's neat to see one of these little guys on a perch other than the ground and the halo effect of the background is really neat. I also really like the "softness" (and by this I don't mean lack of sharpness, but rather the feel of the image) which makes this look sort of painterly. I also like the coolness of the blue. Well done.

Very nice, Marius! I saw these birds but was never nearly this close to photograph! I love the shot of it on the rock, pretty nice light, great background...and Wil's version takes it another step further with white balance and sharpening.

Good to meet you this weekend!

Excellent, and as E.J. mentioned, Wil took care of the USM.
Love the composition and the rock used as a perch.
