Canon 10D 600 IS 4.0 Lens 1/240 f8 ISO 200 Winberley Head, Tripod. Fill Flash BB -1. Manual exposure -1/3 Full Frame. Duckshop, Phoenix, Arizona.

These ring-necked ducks are very colorful birds with the contrasty yellow eyes, I want to shot them with a direct stare to me. The exposure was difficult but I was able to save detail on the blacks, I hope you enjoy, all comments appreciated.

These head on shots work well when both eyes are equally illuminated like you have here. This is excllent!!

Great shot Juan. Your showing some great stuff lately. Love the eyes and also seeing the ring on the neck.

Juan,

I love how both eyes are visible, and the water is beautiful, well done.

Love the head on pose, especially with both eyes visible. Excellent work.

Juan, this is excellent. I love the head-on view of one of my favorite ducks. I can't see how this can be improved.

He looks really angry, with that "I'm going to get you" look. Great angle shot, make the bird look different than the regular side shots. Terrific colour in the water.

If it were Spring, and I was shooting this, I would get out of his way. A very cool shot.
