I was using One-Shot AF when this guy jumped forward and displayed. I thought that I blew the focus and almost deleted the image in-camera because it looked soft on the LCD...

Royal Tern displaying, Fort DeSoto Park, FL. Canon 500MM F/4 l is lens with 2XII TC and EOS 1Ds digital camera. Evaluative metering at zero: 1/320 second at f/11. All comments and reposts welcome.

I love it, Artie. The proof is in the pudding, but zero compensation with the prominent whites surprises me. Is this compensation truly zero, or is it zero after balancing the camera at about -2/3?
