Roseate Spoonbill

D1x, 600f4, iso 200, 1/500, f7.1, cropped about 15-20%.

This spoonbill was photographed recently at Merritt Island NWR. Comments/critiques welcome.

Excellent exposure, nice composition as well, as a horizontal would have worked just as well, the OOF FG vegetation does not bother me a bit, the OOF BG is wonderful as well, lovely light to boot, nice reflection and love the ripples from the water drops on his bill!!, Congrats!!

Lovely shot, the colours are fabulous. I like the circular ripple in the water, it makes a beautiful addition to the image IMHO.

How sweet the light. What's not to like on this. Give this one another 1-2 weeks and those facial colors will be ready for close-up. Like the ripples and the reflection. Well done, Jerry.
