This was taken yesterday afternoon at Robert Mosses State Park from my car.

Canon 1D 500mm f4, Hand held lens resting on window, Manual exposure using the good guess method 1/1600 @ 5.6, Auto focus.

Looks like it was a good guess to me. Nice portrait of a handsome little buck.

Hey Jimmy,

Awesome light. Thegood guess', I'd say it's a perfect guess.

The buck is rendered beautifully by the side-light .. lovely detail.

Was he standing in a parking lot or on the side of the road? My only nit would be the surface he's on .. just doesn't look quite natural to me. Still, lovely work.

Cheers

Carl

Great capture. The mid-step really adds to the glance.

Amazing how fast one can get the window rolled down, 500 and camera from the seat and pointed, and then an exposure set for a split second of nature?s best. Well done.

Great shot. The light is great and the mid-step really adds to the pose.

Great shot! I don't see that it is in mid-step. It seems that all 4 feet are on the ground. Wonderful light and great pose. We have his undivided attention. Thanks for sharing.
