D1x, 300-800 @ 750mm, ISO 500, 1/320 @ f5.6, incident, manual flash.
In follow up to my previous posting this image displays the even more beautiful "backside" of the Goldfinches found here in the UK. Sadly, the background was not as kind to me as on the previous Goldfinch post, but the perch is a bit nicer.

Wow, what a sweet setup. Just love that perch. I might consider toning down the BG and brightening up the bird and perch just a bit. The lookback pose is wonderful.

Such a pretty bird. like you said, bg could be better and making the
bird brighter would also help.

Beautiful bird and perch. I agree on the bird a bit brighter and would crop a tad off the top. Nice one!

Fabulous framing, perch and lookback. Though the BG is superb, it's a bit bright and steals away from that lovely bird.
