I know this is a common bird, but I like the pose. Mark 2, 500 f4, hand held. Got it at Santee Lakes Ca. a couple weeks ago with my friends Deb Beals and Mike Wilson.

E-mail me if any of you NSN folks are coming to San Diego and maybe we can get together for a shoot.

Common duck or not, this is a great shot! :) Love the position of the head, wings and feet; in other words, I love every thing about it!

Steve,

Fantastic shot. You have excellent eye contact, a nice wing position, and good light on the duck. Very well done.

I think its a great bird! I love this birds position. If I wasn't looking down so much there would be alot more visual impact to this however. I must say steve you get a lot of great stuff..

Stellar Steve. This appears to be becoming your signature pose. Very similar in ways to your tern in flight IOW!
