This was taken at Custer State Park last week.

Canon 1Dmk2 500mm f4, Hand held, Evaluative metering 1/800 @ f4 Iso 400, Auto focus.

Very unusual composition with so much space on top but for some reason it works for me here - maybe because of the dark areas on the top corners which gives some kind of natural framing. :wink:

now there's a bird you don't see posted every day... Great shot, would like to see the bird a little less centred in the frame if you have the space to vary the crop..
