I love the heaths in bloom here, Miguel. It really tops this image off nicely. I'm not sure how I feel about the mist/low contrast but I do think it definately works. The bird in flight is killer too. This is fantastic. :)

Amazing in every way, Miguel. Love the mist, colors and you managed a flying grouse to boot.
Congratulations!

Miguel, how long did you wait for the grouse to fly. If their like our ptarmigan here, walking is their main mode of transportation unless a fox or other predator is close. A beautiful shot. Well framed. What ISO were you shooting at?

Rob, very difficult to take them in flight, was very lucky with this one although the 20d is not as fast as the mk2 I managed to get this only shot.
It was really misty and I could not see the grouse very well , just pointed and fired !!
iso 400.

When grouse take off, they go really fast, so you did well to get this! It's a fantastic image.

Absolutely grouse mate.

For those that aren't familiar with Aussie slang. Grouse = great, terrific, very good.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)
