Taken from a boat on the Silver Springs river. Not easy to shoot from a boat, I found, unless the boat's driver understands about photography! Vibrations from the engine killed many shots, and framing was very hard. The driver seemed to reckon that one shot of any subject ought to be enough. This is one of the few shots I got from that trip that did not feature a blurred bird partially out-of-frame.

Super shot in what must have been difficult conditions. Really true about your captain understanding your needs as a photographer.

500 + converter, from a boat, harsh light and uncooperative driver . . . Talk about lemonade! Nice work.

You need another boat

A nice shot but a little contrasty.

It wasn't handheld - I set up a tripod with sidekick in the floor of the boat. I think that made the engine vibration problem worse (I think the engins was off when I took this one though).

How about this - cropped a little tighter, and used Shadow/Highlight tool
