Which means growing from a single stalk or clump. Unknown Species, UP, Michigan. I am not sure of the spelling. Cloned out an oof stalk behind one mushroom to clean up the background. The twinned cap is a plus that I don't usually either see or notice. Comments welcome

Love it Steve. the bright red of the leave and orange of the mushroom is great and the little hint of evergreen completes the scene.

I like the colors, too. Is that a tiny bug on the stem of the left stem?

I really like this shot, most notably for the color contrast between the orange subject and the green background, as well as the dramatic lighting, which is unique for a macro shot like this. I'd be interested to know where the light came from for this.

matt,
The lighting was flash, two 550EX, one set to slave and minus.
Thanks. I liked this one also.

Cool shot. I particularly like the red leaf that frames the left side of the fungi. Colors are super and the lighting is nicely done.
