Felt good about how this turned out considering the low light conditions. Too bad I fried the perch :(

All comments and suggestions are welcome!

DRebel, 500mm +1.4TC, f/5.6, 1/30, ISO 200, FF. Cropped to vertical. Linear conversion to try and regain some blown highlights. Taken in June 04

I like a lot. Why not *burn* the perch in PS a bit? :D

A Common Yellowthroat on a cattail is awesome and the singing puts it over the top.

Very nice; any clues about the horizontal banding I see to the right of the bird? Maybe a bg blur might help that. the colors on his back are perfect.

Good action shot, maybe less of the perch, and yes, a little darker.

This is very sweet! You could turn this in to a horizontal format, taking a lot off the bottom and some off the top and leaving the left to right about as it is. It would greatly reduce the amount of the perch showing if you are bothered by the hot perch. However I like the vertical presentation for this situation.

Fantastic shot - might burn down the perch a hair to keep from competing with the bird for attention.
