Well I had a great time today even though the weather man sucks as you can see we got mostly dark instead of mostly sunny but it was great meeting every one hope to see you in the field again.

Canon 1D mk2 500mm f4 1.4x, Tripod, Manual exposure incident meter 1/200 @ 5.6 Iso 800, Auto focus.

That's an awesome pic, bad light makes it especially impressive. Very Cool 8)

Jimmy,

If you took this merely sitting on the jetty, I'm jealous. If you took it from a boat, I'm jealous.

There just aren't very many good photos of winter-plumaged Razorbills (or of most any alcids for that matter).

Nice photo of this guy. This is a species I haven't seen very many photos of. Good job with the lighting too. I think if it had been sunny exposing this guy properly might have been a nightmare.
