Robert, welcome back. I too wish I could have stayed in Florida. This is an interesting shot. Some suggestions for improvement would be to try and get higher or lower to eliminate the split background and place the bird higher in the frame. Still cool as is and I like the colors.

I would prefer the eye higher in the frame and a vertical instead. More USM would help, it looks pretty soft. Pretty colorful stuff.

Robert,

This is a beautiful pelican, but I find myself wishing to see the entire head.

Thanks,

Robert:

Nice saturated colors, I am ambivalent with the split BG.

A very unusual composition. The colors are too far over the top for me.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

E.J, i agree. After i had to recalibrate my monitor this morning this one and another is definitley a tad overdone. Need to chill a bit on the flow and keep it simple  Thanks!!

Unique image Robert. The two toned BG works well. Modern Art!

Welcome back Robert !!!! If the image did not have a name I would probably suspect your were involved somehow !!!! :)

This is very neat and fresh idea !!! I would show just a little more lower to bring up the horizon (to about 1/3 up) I know the colors are off but they seem to work well for this image !!!!

If only this bird could see himself now  8) 8) 8)

An interesting crop. I think I would like it better with about half or one third the amount of dead space at the top as is currently present. White look a tad hot maybe. I wish the eye wasn't soft :?

For a wall mounting I would prefer it lower in the frame, giving it an arty look. The colours are fabulous.
