While I've enjoyed some wonderful eagle encounters, I finally had one with a camera and adequate lens on hand. Travelling with my cousin to Washington State we stopped to walk at Dungeness NWR. He'd never seen the Pacific before. We walked a 1/2 mile through the woods to an opening by a cliff looking down to Dungeness Spit. The moment we got to the viewpoint--a screech and this stunning creature lands on the tree (hemlock?) What a way to see the Pacific for the first time!!! Though not a great image, it means a lot and I'll be making a print for him. Suggestions are sought!!
