You beat me to it -- this was an older image where I'd use contrast mask incorrectly thus producing a halo. I uploaded a newer image while you were in the process of posting ... no contrast mask and so no halo.

Very nice. I take it the background is water; what makes the shot for me, along with the nice color and composition, are what appear to be small water lilies along the bottom edge. I do still see some halo around the back of the bird. I found something like that yesterday on a Great Gray Owl slide, so it can happen in nature (at least in nature seen through big glass).
