How funny! I've heard of meat being cooked as tough as shoe leather but this is going a bit far... I would crop a bit from the left to focus the viewer more on the action.

I never knew one could get so close to these birds, let alone even see them with any kind of regularity. This is a funny shot and these images make me want to fly right on over (I seriously even looked into this as a possibility just for these birds, but schedule will not permit). Thanks for sharing.

Given what they normally eat, the shoe probably smelled pretty good. Shot really cracks me up. Concur on a crop on the left.
