Harrier perched in tidal marsh looking for (frog) dinner at twilight; Whidbey Island, Washington. Nikon D2H, 600mm Nikkor, 500 ISO, 1/1000 @ f8, Raw, cropped to 8x10 format from 8x12. Lens on big Gitzo spread low with Wimberley.

Ooh! Ooh! After trying this winter for harriers, I can tell you that this si what I was tryign for and didn;t get...

very very good; agree with Sandy about cropping the OOF forground!

I like this a lot just as is. I also thought of the crop even before reading the other comments. This is really a great image with the wings all spread, a beautiful perch to boot.

A truly wonderful shot Ron. The subtle tons really make it work and show how well the Harrier fits into this area. And the rock really is a bonus plus the windstretch. Like I said an amazing image!
