I'd still like a regional jet version of the bag. Yes, it won't hold a 600 but it will hold the 500's and smaller and be able to go in the overhead of a regional jet.

Tony,

Are you saying the Kiboko won't fit in the overhead of a regional jet? Others, including E.J., told me that it would fit into the overhead of most regional jets including the CRJ-705.

Do you have a different experience?

Unless the bag is only 7" deep, it generally won't fit into a regional jet overhead. The current size is 8.5" deep which means you'll be fighting with the airline personal to get it on board and it would only fit into the overhead if you packed it right.

There is only 1 regional jet with a 7" overhead, and that is the ERJ series of jets. CRJ, Dash 8 and others have much more room in the overhead. On an ERJ airplane the Kiboko bag fits underneath the seat.

I have both bags, the Kiboko and the ThinkTanks (antidote and acceleration).
The TT antidote is too small for your needs, but the acceleration can handle almost the same gear as the kiboko, but is harder to fit the big teles (forget the 600mm).
For me the kiboko is much more a field bag, better harness, lighter and handle more wildlife :D gear. The TT acceleration is more a travel bag (by car or plane), and protects better from rough handling. Also the TT acceleration can handle the laptop.
So when I travel I use the acceleration and for wildlife the kiboko is the natural choice. I do believe that one complements the other. 8)
Thanks
