Each time I log onto this site I am more impressed by the talent represented in these images. Tonight my jaw is on the floor because these images just are amazing.

This is a shot from Wako. I kind of like the symmetry here. I am not sure about the back lighting though.

Comments appreciated.

Chris, the way you balanced the flash with the back lighting is beautiful. Love the colors and comp. Maybe a tad oversharpened.

Chris:

Beautiful situation, you may have used flash as a main light to darken the background but still maintain the backlighted appearance.

Love this pair of beauties. Looks oversharpened to me and the contrast is a tad high but really an excellent image. DOF is perfect.

I love a good backlit image.....and this certainly is a good one. A wonderful pose and excellent BG. I, too, think that it is just a tad oversharpened and this is something that I struggle with everytime....too much or too little.

:D :D I think you have a very lovely image, Christopher. The backlight is fantastic and the front fill IMO is perfect, giving a nice moody effect. The colours overall are brilliant.

I agree this is a well composed and well-illuminated backlit image. As others have noted, a hair less processing might make this even better. Nice!

Beautiful shot Chris, I love the composition, the backlighting and the detail and colours. My only very minor nit has already been mentioned re the oversharpening.

Lovely image! 8) 8) :)

Very nice! As you said a bit more fill flash would have helped you handle the backlighting but this one has good detail and the nice rim lighting you want in this type of image.

Aside from what's already been mentioned, this is a fine backlit shot.
