What a great pose. The whites look perfect, something I have a hard time doing. Outstanding work!

Welcome to NSN. Very nice first post. Agree the whites look good and this is nicely composed, the bird's behavior is a plus. A bit busy but then that's the habitat. Looking forward to more from you.

Glad you decided to join Tilo. Looks like the 1D MkII worked out quite nicely here :) Greg: Do I get commission here for bringing in new people?? By the way...its a royal pain to get a reasonably nice background as these guys sit in amongst all of the palm fronds. I dislike the habitat in most every shot I have, but then again, what can I do...

Thanks for the welcome. So far, I've taken about 2500 shots there with my 1D MK2 (that I've had for 6 days). I'll post more.

Very nice indeed. I like the detail in the whites and the bird's position. The natural habitat background not a negative IMO.

Hello there, the exposure coul not be better, and I rather like the inclusion of habitat in this image.

Well done, and I look forward to seeing more.

Best,

Welcome to NSN Excellent first post

You have done great for the busy BG, I like the end result. The bird has a good pose, blown head feathers, good whites and all sharp!!!!!!!! Congratulations
