Painted Bunting

I shot this handsome guy this week on the upper Texas coast. Shot from photo blind. My only personal nit is that he landed on the wrong perch. :(

Wayne, killer bird, excellent exposure and detail, perch and pose are fine by me as well, my only minor nit is the bright uneven BG, all that said it is a wonderful capture in any case!! Congrats!! 8)

I do not mind the perch or background, the direct sunlight is exposing this magnificient bird really well. Usually I see PB flashed and/or with undirect light, but this work better imho. I hate it when a shot like this appears next to my own submission

Another nice one, Wayne.

You're going to have to share the locations next time we get down that direction.

I am soooooo jealous! I'd hoped to see these at Roma and missed them. Very sweet shot of a brilliant bird.

Gorgeous image and subject! The BG isn't ideal, but the bird makes up for it.

:D :D :D What a shot and you think it's the wrong perch :!: It's tremendous. Excellently focused, well exposed and a shot I would love to have taken self.

Wayne,

Beautiful intense colors. If only we could tell where the bird should land.
