This image was shot a few years ago at Canadian Wildlife Experience in Canada. There was only one black phase wolf in this pack. It was the most shy wolf and also my favorite.
Canon EOS1V, 100-400 IS, Provia 100F pushed 1 stop, 550EX/BB - 1 2/3.

I know a few Akita's that look at you just like this. I like the way it's peeking around the tree. :D

Great shot. I like the impact provided by the glow of the eyes and the dark background and dark wolf. Adds a feeling of "mystery" here.. Way to go and thanks for the post..
