The Rough Legged Hawks are becoming quite numerous on the north shore of Lake Ontario. This is a light adult. It wasn't the sharpest in the series but I liked the wing position of this one..

Very nice Harold. I really like it's right wing tip, where the feathers curl in th FG of the image.

This is an interesting shot to me because of the wing position. This would really have grabbed me if the lighting had been from in front of the hawk, instead of behind it.

I like this one a lot. My only wish is for a bit of light on the Hawk's face.

Like you, I like the wing position on this but getting this shot sharp is critical in my book. Rough Legged Hawks are a very shy species so I understand your problems.
