Hey Friends,
I was sitting here still looking through hundreds of my Bosque pictures, for the third time. I was curious to see how many others here have yet to complete the final touches of thier photos and images of Bosque? How close are to being done?
Seems like it might never end......

Three weeks before going to Bosque this year, I found this image from LAST year:

I knew I had some photos of a Roadrunner, but hadn't really looked at them closely.

So I guess that means my answer is...ask me again in a year! :)

Let me add, right now I am going through them and seperating by subject.
There may be a small shimmer of light, in a tunnel I have not reached yet.

Someone just calculated that it will be august before I'm done with my series. I don't think I disagree. I thought I was 1/2 way through before Greg brought the color balance issue to my attention. So now, I'm less than 1/2 way through. :?

*Comical Note*
I took my 8 rolls of not yet seen slides to my folks house last night, to look at them with my dad... about half way through them, he said to me, (holding a slide in his hand), "were you using a hammer to hit the shutter button on these???"
I was ROTFLMAO.... ok, back to sorting..

I am the type of person that doesn't function well with things hanging over my head. So I don't fundamentally comprehend how some can spend all of the money and time to go on trips and taking photos and then not dispositioning them. To me it seems like a waste of time and money. What's the point of photographing if you don't then go through all of the pictures :?:  :?

My approach is to try to go through all the images I took at the end of every shooting day. My second cut is done within 24 hours of getting home and all photos that I intend to process are processed within the first few days after returning home. So even for a week or two week long trip, I have the photos I intend to post here at some time or use on my website completed within a week of my return and usually a lot less than that. I make this a priority.

I do go back about 6 months later and re-go through all of the images that are still remaining and do another cut and sometimes I find some gems that I passed over the first time.

I dont think I understand what your saying here??
I think we all do go through all our pictures, when the individual finds time for that. It took a couple weeks for me to get all my slides film back from Fuji. I left it all unopened till I had them all returned. I have a lot of prints to sort through as well. Then on top of that, regular life gets in the way of everything fun. I am finding it enjoyable to look at my photos , at this point a month later. The memories are great as I look at each one. I am finding it hard to pick out the ones I want to post here & put on my little web site asl well.

For me, it all just takes some time.....and it's all fun. :D

I am all finished. Just did so a couple of days ago.

My sorting is basically at the motel room at the end of the day. Once or twice more in iView while sending the keepers to a folder. Last step I do with Capture one at the time of converting. The real close ones I can display side by side and make a final decision..

BTW since my last question about keeping percentage, I have been doing much better. I have been more selective in shooting so I don’t have that many pictures that are technically correct but of no value.

Alfred
