Motif: Common Murre

(Common Murre) Homer, Alaska

Last week it was birds. This week it is close ups. I think this applies to both. Of course, the green thing is Dale's gloved hand. I think I got a sunrise in the birds eye. :)

Tripod Mounted Nikon D1H, 500mm F4.0 AFS, ISO 200, Aperture Priority, 1/1000 @ F4. Cropped about 5% from original width.

It's a nice shot of the murre, but I'm curious as to why Dale was holding the bird.

The story is my last Motif image in this gallery. The short version is this Murre was about to become Northern Crow or Bald Eagle food so we decided to capture it to put it back into the bay before that happened.
