Canon 1Ds Mark II 100-400 IS L Lens 1/250 ISO 200 Multiflash Technique
In Hummingbird Photography the choice of the plant is important to complement the "studio" set up, in this case I chosen a bromeliad because the nice red hues that would match the colors of the background. However we need to be biologically realistic and I could not place the water sugar on the bromelia leaves (here it is not a flower but a plant) because would be biologically incorrect (unless the bird was just drinking water, which might happens) I placed the feeder to the right and framed the image without. This Buff-tailed coronet was just waiting in turn to approach the feeder and using the bromeliad as a support only. All brutal comments appreciated, Thanks for looking. Juan E. Bahamon
