One of my favourite warblers to see at Point Pelee each year. Named after a 18th century botanist, this image shows the brilliant orange throat for which it is also known as "Firethroat" and "Torchbird". I don't know why it would be named after botanist though.

Very nice colors! Perch is a bit too bright and I wish for an eye contact.

A personal favorite and a unique shot. Would prefer to see the eyes better but I still like it a lot.

This is most more of an avian abstract. I like it a lot. I would , however, tone down the bark.

Works very well for me; a teeny peek of eye would have made it perfect, but this is a very neat view of the brilliant orange throat.

The image is good but the pose and light are a bit less than ideal for my taste. Love the color against the plain bg.
