Excellent shot Rich. Good perch for the eagle, and you've a nice bright eye. The moon being visible is a fantastic bonus.

Nice one.

I love the image for the moon and the bird in the same shot. It's a nice touch!
There does seem to be some artifacts or noise in the blue areas, heavy crop? Plus a bit of a halo around the bird.

The light is splendid and I love the inclusion of the moon (as well as the tips of both branches on the perch). The angle is quite steep and apparent in the photo. Not much you can do about that, these guys tend to perch high.

I like the moon with the eagle in this shot. The angle doesn't bother me but I think I would crop in closer, possibly just below the V. Stopping down might be something to think about the next time you encounter this type of situation. You won't ever get the moon in sharp focus but I think you could have gotten a bit better detail then you did. The over the shoulder look from the eagle works well here. It might even work well looking at the moon since I can think up lots of ad phrases for an eagle looking toward the moon. :)
