This little gem appeared at a cross path on the tip of Point Pelee. He would appear for a few seconds, then disappear for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. A frustrating experience trying to photograph him as every time I pointed my camera at him there always seemed to be a twig across him. What made it especially frustrating was the sound of the "machine-gunning" shutters of the Mark II's all around me, and the "Ooo 's and Wow's" all around me when they looked at their displays!   But in the end(thankfully), I had a few keepers as well.

600IS,1.4x, MarkII, cropped about 25% for posting, PS levels, curves, etc.

"A few keepers as well" is an understatement, Scott. This is really outstanding. You've got to be very satisfied indeed to have pulled off this image with such a skittish subject. Well done!

Very nice shot! I would bet that all those "ooo's" and "wow's" would have been much louder if they had been looking at this shot.

Fantastic -- glad frustration did not win out in the long run. This is a beauty.

Awesome work, Scott. Well worth the effort, for sure. You've gotta love the shutter slap of the MKII
