The Bald Eagles are hanging around now just a few but I was fortunate to get this shot a couple days ago. I was surprized how well this held up to a pretty hefty crop.

Canon 1DII, 500F4IS, 1.4x, 70% crop.

Rob, this held up very well to the crop indeed. Good detail and exposure. The wing position is perfect. Great shot.

This is fantastic IMO, Rob. The top side view and over the shoulder look are excellent.

Nice catch Rob! I'm constantly amazed how well images from the 1DII and 20D do after a significant crop

You nailed him, Rob! That's not easy to do. The wing and head position is just awesome!

Love the position, but would like a tad more in front of the bird. For a 70% crop this is fantastic and the eye is perfect.

Very nice. I will in Iowa next weekend shooting Eagles so this is getting my excited for it. That is one thing I have enjoyed with the MKII over my 1D is that the images hold up very well when a large crop is needed.

Rob,

the head turn really makes it. A hair more saturation, maybe?

Not bad at all for a hefty crop ...
Love the top wing and the slight look-back, Rob!
