Scarlet Tanager Upper Texas Coast
600, 1.4.

With the whole Country freezing, (It snowed here in Houston today) I thought I'd post this oldie to warm things up a bit.

This was a shot from a few Aprils ago.

Great bird. Great shot. This particluar image looks over saturated (reds) and oversharpened quite a bit on my monitor. (15" Powerbook) The compostion is very nice, but the leaves on the left are a bit distracting.

With the temps going down to -10 degrees tonight and the snow/ice that we got......I really appreciate the warmth that this one gives. A beautiful bird in a great setting. Of course all the rage from the hate doesn't hurt warming me up either. I feel the temperature rising!!!

This is my type of bird, naturally saturated, the background is very complimentary. I also find the leaves on the left Little distracting.
