I have been absent from these forums for a while, as both my cameras crapped out on me back in September during a couple of STL workshops, leaving me with hundreds of backfocused and overexposed images. With the help of a good friend, and Nikon, all focus and metering problems have been resolved (knock wood), just in time for my first trip to Bosque del Apache NWR, through Denver and courtesy of Bob Smith.
I finally see what all the commotion is about with regard to Bosque. What a cool place to photograph wildlife. Thankfully, my cameras worked better than I hoped and I had a blast filling up my memory cards with bunches of great images. I thought for my return to NSN I would post something that I had never seen before this trip, and haven't seen here very often either; a pair of American Coots. Nikon D1X, Nikon 500mm f/4 w/1.4xt, 1/800 sec, f/8, ISO 200 |
