Three months after graduating high school, I realized a childhood dream by beginning a career illustrating comic books. After more than twenty years, and a highly successful career drawing characters that included Superman and Spider-Man, I have broadened my professional horizons to include photography, with an emphasis on wildlife and nature.
In 1997, I purchased my first digital camera and have shot exclusively digital ever since. I currently shoot with Nikon cameras and lenses, processing all of my images using Apple computers.
Through my company, Digital Rainbow Images (DRI), I provide a diverse array of graphic arts services to meet the unique needs of individual customers. I bring to my company twenty-plus years of experience in the publishing field, combined with eighteen years of computer graphics expertise and an extensive background in digital photography. My multifaceted career has ranged from illustrating comics, to photographing wildlife and regional folk history, some of which was recently exhibited by the Smithsonian Institute. I have also written many published articles for area magazines about the wildlife I photograph.
DRI merges illustration, photography and design allowing seamless integration of services for our customers. This broad range of skills allows DRI to take a client’s project from creation to the final printed product efficiently, while maintaining the quality they insist upon.
