I've just returned from Custer State Park in South Dakota and another great STL adventure. We encountered bunches of animals, more than I have ever seen together in one place. At times it was difficult to know where to point the camera. My favorite encounters were with the big horn sheep, though my single favorite image (thus far anyway) was this little fluffy guy who seemed to be having a great time bouncing around the others in his group. When he started his dance, I was stuck with only my 500mm at hand, so unable to get the full body shot I would have liked, I tried for this tight shot of the behavior, and to my surprise I got it.
Nikon D1X, Nikon 500mm f/4, 1/1600 sec, f/5.6, ISO 800 As per the suggestions, I have cloned out the nose in the background. Thanks. Last edited by Brett B. on Fri Sep 17, 2004 5:22 pm, edited 1 time in total. |
