This was taken this morning through thick fog.
EOS 1Ds, 500mm, 2xTC, 1.4xTC, ISO 100, f/22, 1/200 sec, mirror lockup, 10sec self timer.
Processed with C1SE. In PS cropped to 8x10, levels.
Taken at 0706 eastern US DST.
I wasn't sure which forum to place this in.

Your choice of location of Venus is interesting--I presume you must have more shots over much of the traverse, yet you chose to display the one where it's right at the edge.

Well, in fact, I almost missed the transit entirely. It was very foggy here and it wasn't until the end that the fog thinned enough to see the sun. So, this was the first shot that I was able to get of the transit and the one where Venus is the furtherest from the limb of the sun.

Very nice shot - I would have thought there would be some filter on this, but I guess I was wrong, and most likely because I tried to look up at the sun :shock:
