Ring-necked Duck, Santee, CA

Another duck image from my duck travels this past winter. Although these ducks are among the most common I still think they’re beautiful.

As always, comments and brutal critiques welcomed.

EOS 10D, EF 600/4 IS, 1.4TC, 25mm extension tube, 1/500 @ f8, ISO 200.

Very nice shot of this guy. You should see these things trying to land at 13,000 feet with no air under those small wings. Its hilarious.

What a most unusual color in the water, makes for a more unique image of the common quacker. I like it!

This lighting must have been custom ordered, Greg. This is literally so sweet, it hurts.

How much did you pay this guy to sit here for you?!!! He looks so relaxed! It must be those "texas style" burgers you fed him :D

Greg,

Common ?? I agree with Lat. Maybe where you are ....

A funny story on "common" ..... I was in NJ & saw some Robins...
I was so happy trying to take pictures of them and my NJ friend was
greatly embarassed to no end !!

Michael W. South Florida. No Robins.

The Robins are all over my yard, in fact they are stealing mealworms from the bluebird feeder!!
