I took this shot yesterday, looks like a female blue bird but I am not sure because the bird was pretty big for a blue bird. Everyone I saw before it was much smaller.
I wish the hot spots on the perch weren't there but at that time the sun hits it directly and always looks blown out at that side.
Shot with 300mm 2.8 + 14E II TC at 420mm, 1/125, f6.3, EV -1, iso200, fill flash -1.7.

Comments and suggestions always welcome.
Best regards,
Yanni.

Yanni, this is indeed a female eastern bluebird and a nice shot of one. It looks just a tad over-sharpened.

Yanni, This is a nice shot with good detail. It's a little light to me.

Yanni, a lovely shot of this bird. I'd like to see a bit more contrast.

Yanni,

This is a very nice shot. The exposure and the fill flash look good. I like the suggestion of a little more contrast to improve the image.

Very likeable image. I don't see the oversharpening but it can't hurt to Pshop this again.

If you add a bit of contrast and lower the brightness make sure you lopwer the brightness by at least twice as much.

She's a beauty. I agree with the suggestions and think this one is definitely worth reworking. I'd also opt for something less tight if this was cropped. Nice capture of a wonderful bird.

Thank you all for your comments, I reworked the image. Here is a new version with a little more contrast. I just bumped the contrast to 10 and minus lightness to -20. I only have lcd screens to work on and usualy images show lighter, hopefully this one works out, it looks actually little dark on my end.

Thanx again
Kind regards,
Yanni.
