Common Terns

This was taken this afternoon at Jones Beach when other Terns would fly over these birds would take off and challenge them so I set up for the background I wanted and waited.

Canon 1D 500mm f4, Tripod Ball head Sidekick Leveling head, Manual exposure using incident meter -1/3, 1/2000 @ 5.6.

Cool shot Jimmy! These are among my favorite birds to photograph and are just starting to take up shop here in CT. In a few months they'll be everywhere! I might rotate it just a bit CCW.

Well done Jimmy. I only wish the tail of the flying bird was not merging with the sitting bird. Minor nit though.
